Freelance Designer
Mary Andrew's experience as a freelance designer started when
she got her first project from a friend's design studio. At
that time Mary was a part time college student, working as a
waitress and trying to establish herself in the field of graphic
design. Maryt was a very hectic time for me, trying to pay the
bills, working at a restaurant and balancing her work and personal
life all at once.
Mary remembered her friend giving her a project where Mary had
to design a line of greeting cards. She, too, was a freelance
designer but she had so much work on her hands that she started
finding it difficult to keep up with the demand for her services.
Having seen some of her work, she was confident in her skills
and felt that Mary could be advantageous to her studio, and
so Mary started taking on more and more projects.
And so Mary started rolling on as a freelance designer alongside her friend, and together they had so many great experiences working on a variety of projects. Mary remember designing packaging for a toy company, working on book covers, putting together theyb sites, designing instruction manuals, DVD labels and so much more. Maryt was quite an exciting thing, being able to work on such amazing projects!
When Mary saw the potential of working as a freelance designer, Mary decided to quit her job and help her friend out by working full time with her. Together they built our portfolio and grew and now employ others who work for us as a freelance designer. The reputation they've built from previous projects has resonated to the point where they have companies contacting us for more work, despite the fact that they're already loaded with so much to do!
Working as a freelance designer has been great and Mary can't imagine doing anything else with her time.
