Freelance Work
Freelance work is very different to full-time employment. As
a full-time employee, you have the advantage of knowing where the
next paycheck is coming from, and the security of regular work,
pensions, benefits and sick pay.
That's the upside. On the downside, you also have to accept that
your income will always be limited, and you will never be your own
boss. Your work can become stale and boring, and you only turn up
for work to ensure that you can pay the mortgage. But freelance
work is very different.
First of all, you are in total control of your life. You can work
where and whenever you want to, and have the option to turn down any
projects that don't interest you. You will also find that
freelance work is always interesting and stimulating as the
nature of the work you do will change from month to month.
The disadvantage is that finding freelance work can be
something of a headache. You never know if you will have enough work
to keep you busy for the months ahead, unless you have a regular
source of job leads.
Fortunately, there are ways of ensuring that you have plenty of
freelance work. One is to sign up for a jobs newsletter that
keeps you up to date with new possibilities and opportunities.
This means that you can get on with your current freelance work
without having to worry about marketing. This is great because
marketing can take up a great deal of your time and your money.
Which newsletter should you subscribe to? Here's the one that we
recommend as a great resource for finding freelance work
